April 2010 to date: Member of the BIG Secretariat of the BIG Coalition Namibia.

April 2005 to March 2010: Co-ordinator of Basic Income Grant Coalition Namibia and implementation of BIG Pilot Project.

August 2004 to date: Pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Republic of Namibia (ELCRN)

March 2003 to March 2010: Project Director - Desk for Social Development (DfSD), Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Republic of Namibia (ELCRN).

December 2001 to January 2002: Research for the Economic Policy Research Institute (EPRI), Cape Town.

Claudia Haarmann:

Born (1970) and raised in Mettmann, Germany. Abitur 1990. Since 1995 married to Dirk Haarmann with two children.

Work as a volunteer in hostels for students of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Republic of Namibia (ELCRN) (1990-1991).

Study of Protestant Theology, Sociology, and Economics at the universities of Bielefeld (Germany), Marburg (Germany), Institute for Social Development (ISD) at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) (South Africa) and theological seminaries in Bethel (Germany) and Wuppertal (Germany) (1991-2001):



Dirk Haarmann:

Born (1970) and raised in Gruiten, Germany. Abitur 1989. Since 1995 married to Claudia Haarmann with two children.

Civil service in a school for mentally disabled children (1989-1990).

Work as a volunteer with a focus on youth development at the Andreas Kukuri Centre in Okahandja and development work with the squatter camp community in “Five Rand” (Okahandja) for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Republic of Namibia (ELCRN) (1991).
